In Munster, Indiana, five armed men forced their way into a home and attacked three people inside in a home invasion that took place late last month. One of the victims, who preferred to remain anonymous, shared details of the terrifying ordeal. The armed men entered the home through an open garage door and demanded money, bound the victims with zip ties, and proceeded to steal thousands of dollars worth of items. The victims were left traumatized by the violent incident.

The victims of the home invasion are offering a $15,000 reward for any information that could lead to an arrest of the suspects. Munster police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the armed men who were captured on neighbors’ surveillance cameras wearing reflective yellow vests. The suspects fled the scene in two vehicles, which were later recovered in Chicago. The police chief mentioned that the suspects likely followed a vehicle into the secured neighborhood due to ongoing construction in the area.

Despite the gated entrance to the neighborhood, the suspects were able to enter and carry out the targeted home invasion. The victims described the horrifying experience of being attacked and bound, with one victim’s sister being dragged to the basement and assaulted. The Munster police chief emphasized that the investigation indicates the suspects had planned the home invasion and were well-prepared. As authorities continue to search for the armed men, the victims urge anyone with information to contact Munster police at (219) 836-6630.
